As I mentioned last week, Brooke and Dwayne came up from Arkansas for their New York elopement. I had a wonderful time hanging out with them both. Brooke is a fellow female entrepreneur who just opened her own cheerleading gym back home so we had lots to share about the joys and challenges of running your own business which was awesome.
I absolutely love when clients are willing to explore a bit further afield in the city and these guys jumped on the chance opting for a ceremony on Roosevelt Island! I love an adventure and it was great fun riding the tram across the river and enjoying the views. (Side note: even if you’re not getting married on Roosevelt Island, the tram is a great way to get an amazing view of the river, city streets and the skyline, just for the cost of a subway ride.) Their date was timed perfectly with the end of cherry blossom season, so we also got to wander through a tunnel of bright pink blooms on our way down to the ceremony at Four Freedoms Park.
Brooke and Dwayne were wed in a heartfelt ceremony performed by Judie right on the water on a beautiful morning. After making things official we walked back through the island and shared a champagne toast and cupcakes to finish off an amazing wedding!
Congratulations to you both and thank you so very much for having me! Best wishes!
