This was such a wonderful elopement! Carl Schurz Park is one of my favorite places in the city. A little gem of beautiful green space hidden away way on the Upper East Side. This isn’t a park for tourists, it’s a local spot that’s generally always quiet and calm. It also happens to be two blocks from my new apartment… so when Matt and Gail said that was where they’d like to have their ceremony, I was thrilled! Three cheers for couples willing to explore a bit off the beaten path!
They had a lovely ceremony under gorgeous blue summer skies, performed by Christopher Frost Shelley of Illuminating Ceremonies. After wandering around Carl Schurz and the Upper East Side, we hopped in a limo for some fantastic sunset photos at Gantry Park in Queens and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Skyline wedding photos can’t be beat!
Congratulations to Matt and Gail! Best wishes to you both!
Yesterday was so wonderful! I had the most fantastic afternoon with Elena and Andy, who came over from Scotland to get hitched in the city. These two were just SO incredibly happy and easy going, it was a prime example of why I have the best job ever. You can’t help but smile when hanging out with couples like this.
A huge congratulations to you both! Loads more photos to come!
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. If so, these two should buy a lottery ticket! Peter and Julie-Anne didn’t let a few rain drops scare them off this afternoon and went ahead with their plans to get married in Madison Square Park in Manhattan. Even though we got a bit wet, it didn’t dampen their spirits, and a fabulous time was had by all.
Congratulations to you both, more to come!
Another couple in town for the marathon getting married!
Michael ran the race on Sunday and these two even met via the running app Endomondo. I met up with them in the East Village for a few photos in the city and then we hopped in a cab to finish portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Congratulations to you both! More to come!
How cute are these two??
Meaghan and Grant came over from Australia to get hitched in NYC after Grant ran the NYC Marathon (his 17th marathon!!!). They were married in Central Park’s Cop Cot Shelter, and then we wandered around a bit afterwards snapping some lovely photos as it was about the most perfect fall evening you could imagine. I’m loving these warm days in November!
Thanks guys for being awesome and congratulations and best wishes to you! More to come!
This elopement was simply gorgeous. Miranda and Michael were stunning and exuded such happiness, they made my job was easy! I don’t often get to spend this much time with a couple for elopements, but when I do it’s awesome, and the photos are always worth it. I met up with Miranda at the Essex House with her friends while she got ready, and then we headed off to the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park to meet Michael.
While it threatened rain that morning, the weather held out and the overcast skies were perfect for photos! Their ceremony was lovely and heartfelt, officiated by a friend of theirs. After snapping a few portraits in the park, they let me make the call and we headed over to Long Island City and Gantry Park for photos. I LOVE shooting in this area. The skyline views are amazing, it’s not often you get to have your first dance with the Empire State Building as a backdrop! And the random ivy covered walls make my heart happy. I’m so grateful when clients trust me and let me whisk them off to random streets in the city!

I had a lovely time with Leah and Allan this morning! We met up at sunrise in Central Park, hopped in a cab for Grand Central, and then headed down to City Hall for their ceremony. A gorgeous fall morning had by all. More to come!
I had such a great morning with these two girls from Nashville. We had the park to ourselves with the rainy weather and Andressa and Beth were gorgeous and so much fun for photos! Lots more to come from this lovely wedding!
Today was a bit rainy, but it was still a excellent day to get married in Central Park. Steve and Suzanne came over from the UK to tie the knot this afternoon in Cop Cot, and then we wandered through the mall for loads of fun photos! Lots more to come, enjoy the preview!
Congratulations to you both!
I met up with Sherry and Brendan at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau this morning for their ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Afterwards we took to the streets, snapping lots of fun photos in City Hall Park and wandering across the Brooklyn Bridge. Lots more to come! Congratulations to you both!!
