I photographed my first wedding in 2007 and have been a full time photographer since 2012. In that time I have photographed hundreds of weddings and elopements in every kind of setting. I can handle whatever scenarios might come up; from dark lighting to difficult relatives to pouring rain, I’ve been there. I have lived in New York since 2008 and knowing all the best spots for photos to get you that iconic NYC image is something I take great pride in.

As an experienced professional I also guarantee prompt responses to your emails, your photos delivered within 6 weeks, an expert timeline for your day, scouting the best NYC locations and connecting you with other like-minded vendors for everything from make-up to flowers to make sure you have the best day possible.

Inclusivity

I want everyone to feel excited, comfortable and beautiful on their wedding day. My clients come from all kinds of backgrounds, are of all different races, orientations, gender identities, religions, and body sizes. Everyone is welcome here and I am excited to celebrate your unique love story. I use gender neutral language in all my client materials and ask for pronouns before sessions.

Social Justice and Environment

One thing I knew would be part of my business plan from the beginning was using my creative powers for good. I am a feminist who believes Black Lives Matter. Prior to becoming a photographer full time, I worked in the non-profit sector in education and public health. When you hire De Nueva Photography you can know that a portion of your dollars are working to make the world a better place. I donate monthly to social justice organizations such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Emily's List, Ali Forney Center, Equal Justice Initiative, and the International Rescue Committee.

My business is run as green and sustainably as it can be. My primary lab is a fully certified Forestry Stewardship Council printer and I try my best to partner with vendors who also have inclusive and environmentally sustainable practices. My packaging is made from recycled, earth friendly materials whenever possible.
