You might remember these beautiful brides from their engagement session last summer. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for over a year! They are two incredible women and it was such a joy to document their day. Tiffany and Jalynn were married at the The Grandview in Poughkeepsie in the Hudson Valley. Have I mentioned I love Hudson Valley weddings? It’s such a gorgeous setting, and awesome for photos.
The Grandview has sweeping views of the river valley and was the perfect spot for a wedding. I met up with Tiffany and Jalynn at their hotel for a low key first look to start the day and then we headed over to the venue for portraits. I don’t know if there could be two more excited brides. These two exuded happiness, Jalynn even told me later how much her cheeks hurt from smiling all day!
The weather was threatening rain, but actually worked out perfectly. We had some clouds for portraits, a brief sprinkle, and then it cleared up for their ceremony which was held on the upper level above the river. After exchanging vows, the rain did come down during cocktails, but then cleared up so guests could enjoy the view. We couldn’t have ordered anything better. Their reception was full of some amazing dance moves, hats off to the wedding party for even being great impromptu back-up dancers during the first dance! As more evidence these two women are awesome, during the speeches, Tiffany even had a special surprise for Jalynn… a saxaphone solo! How cool is that?
