It’s a crazy snow storm outside today, but yesterday was gorgeous! Kelsey and Shawn got married just in time! These two flew in with their families from Virginia, where Shawn is stationed in the Navy, for their City Hall Wedding at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. It’s not often I get to photograph a military wedding at City Hall, and it was interesting to hear about Shawn’s work on submarines in the Navy.
Afterwards, we headed to Washington Square Park and the Washington Mews for portraits and then headed into the East Village for some fun with street art murals as well. I love when couples are up for adventuring in neighborhoods, and the East Village is always one of my favorite spots for photos, especially if you’re up for something a little more offbeat.
