I have clients that come from around the globe to get married in NYC. However, Joanne and Andrew? They came all the way from Queens. It’s lovely to work with a few locals now and again and Joanne and Andrew were such a fun couple. They opted to exchange vows at the City Clerk’s office in Manhattan with their friends and family present last October. Afterwards, we headed over to Williamsburg for a photo session.
The day of their wedding it poured rain as I walked into City Hall. However, as we left, the clouds had parted and the sun decided to come out making for some lovely golden hour portraits. Joanne had been really excited about the Tom Fruin stained glass house that used to be installed on the Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront. She did some sleuthing and discovered that it now resides at North Brooklyn Farms in Williamsburg! So to Williamsburg we went. The folks at North Brooklyn Farms were happy to have us for some photos with the house, and then we strolled through the neighborhood. Andrew is super into street art so Williamsburg was an excellent pick for a neighborhood backdrop as their is street art galore!
Joanne and Andrew, thanks so much for having me document your wedding! It was wonderful meeting you both! Congratulations!
