I love when clients are willing to go off the beaten path a bit for photos. I have a running list of some of my favorite neighborhoods for wedding photos in NYC and I’ve been dying to do more shoots in Red Hook, Brooklyn. So when Sarah and Noa agreed to make the trek out this Brooklyn neighborhood for their engagement photos, I was psyched.
I love just strolling neighborhood blocks with couples, and Red Hook has so much character it’s a great backdrop for photos. There’s cobblestones, and colorful facades, a bit of brownstones, some great street art and even a waterfront that’s perfect for sunset. Sarah and Noa are also not afraid to be goofy and were up for all kinds of hijinks, making taking photos of them the best time and full of lots of laughs.
They are also getting married tomorrow! I’m super excited to document this awesome pair tie the knot! Congratulations to you both!
