Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
After a crazy December, I’ve been enjoying a much quieter first couple weeks in January. While I’m working on putting together lots of fun stuff for 2017, working on behind the scenes business items and getting a Best of 2016 post ready, I also wanted to start catching up on all the amazing celebrations that took place last year!
First up, this joyous New York City Hall Elopement from last summer. Gina and Nick came to me via word of mouth of their friends Mary Beth and Chris, who had a rooftop wedding in Williamsburg the previous fall. Referrals from past clients are the best compliment and I love the rare local elopement couple I get to work with!
Gina and Nick were married at the Office of the City Clerk with their families and then we went on a photo taking walk through Chinatown, Little Italy and a bit of the Lower East Side. These spots are some of my favorite neighborhoods for wedding photos in the city, they’re so funky and colorful with loads of murals and cool storefronts. It’s also easy walking from City Hall which makes it a great spot for post elopement photos. Give me these backdrops coupled with the laughter of Gina and Nick and I was a happy photographer indeed.
Congratulations guys! I wish you all the best in 2017 and beyond!
