As an elopement photographer in New York I’ve photographed couples all around NYC in all kinds of locations. The Met has been on my list for awhile now to shoot a portrait session, but I’ve never had the chance until this morning. Suzy and Daniel were visiting from Louisiana and decided to tie the knot at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a place that was special to both of them. They used to come here often when Suzy lived in New York and choosing to get married there meant a great deal.
We met up with Judie at the entrance and then scouted the museum for a quiet corner where they wouldn’t be disturbed for their quick ceremony. After some searching we ended up in front of these beautiful glass windows in the American Wing and it worked perfectly.
After their vows we did a few portraits around the museum along with neighboring Central Park before I sent them on their way to a celebratory lunch!
Congratulations Suzy and Daniel! It was a pleasure meeting you both, and I wish you the best for many years of happiness!
