Oh my, it’s been WAY too long since I blogged a full wedding. I’ve been trying desperately to keep my head above water in this crazy fall busy season so I’ve just managed to get up the sneak peeks. I don’t want to get too far behind though, so today we head back to summer for Jen and Aaron’s gorgeous Jewish wedding in the Hudson Valley, at Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center. Jen came to me from her friend Lauren, a previous bride of mine who had a beautiful wedding in Pennsylvania. I love when clients find me via friends, the best compliment I can get is good word of mouth.
Jen and Aaron’s wedding was wonderful, from details like their intricate hand cut ketubah and passing out baby succulents as favors, to Jen’s elegant lace gown to a joy filled reception and a hora that brought the house down. These two make a fantastic couple and it was a pleasure to be a part of their day!
I started off with Jen getting ready with her mom and sister, while my awesome assistant Amber headed down to take portraits with the groom. Jen and Aaron had their first look on the grand stair case at the estate and then we went out for some couple portraits. It was HOT on their wedding day, but they did great and we got through photos as speedily as possible. Jen and Aaron also let me kidnap them for 5 minutes during the reception so we could get some romantic shots at sunset, one of my favorite times for photos.
Jen and Aaron, thank you so much for having me and I wish you both all the best!
