When I first received an email from Graham many months ago it said they wanted to have a wedding with the vibe of a summer theater after party complete with cupcakes and quidditch pong. (I had no idea what quidditch pong was, but quidditch! I’m sold.) I responded right away with a Yes! You are my people. We met at a little cafe with amazing chocolate chip cookies and I was smitten. Graham and Frances are an amazing couple. You can’t be around them for more then two seconds and not feel the love. (You might remember their sweet engagement photos from earlier in the spring at Central Park…)
This day was the most wonderful celebration of happiness. I have been to a lot of joyous weddings, but Frances and Graham brought the house down. Their East Village wedding at Middle Collegiate Church was a labor of love, almost everything was DIY, and their friends brought their dance party A game. The entire wedding party, parents included, literally danced down the aisle! There was a gigantic connect four game, a beer pong tournament, cards against humanity escort cards (such a good idea!), all kinds of board games, photo booth fun, and more amazing dance moves then I’ve ever seen. At the center were two people in love who make everyone around them smile, and it was perfect.
Frances and Graham, I can’t thank you enough for inviting me to document your special day. It was such an honor. Congratulations and best wishes to you both!
They had their first look at the same spot they had their first date!
