I had such a fun time hanging out with Nat, Amy, their son Dylan and Amy’s parents in Brooklyn a few weeks ago. Nat is the older brother of some of our good friends, and we’ve known he and Amy for a few years now. When I found out they were expecting, I was so excited for them both. This was actually the second time I got to hang out little Dylan, but the first time I’ve seen him since he’s been on the move. This kid has ENERGY. I don’t think he was ever still for a moment the entire session. Nat and Amy, my exhausted hat is off to you guys for keeping up with this little dude! 🙂
My philosophy on family sessions is that we’re going to have fun. I’m not going to make you sit still and pose, because 18 month old toddlers? Don’t so much listen to directions. I approach family sessions by letting everyone play together and then capturing the fun times that ensue. On this particular day at Brooklyn Bridge Park we ran all over, played parachute (Dylan is a very serious parachute player), and even rode the carousel. A great afternoon had by all!
