Kate first contacted me back in 2015 about an eloping in NYC. Fast forward a whole year, and the time finally came for her and Alex to get hitched! These two hail from Yorkshire in the UK and it was so lovely working with them both. Kate is an antique jewelry collector (and she sells her finds! Check her out on instagram 🙂 ) so the jewelry she was wearing was especially unique and fun to photograph.
We started their day at City Hall, and it turned out they were still a bit early, so we took a swing around the neighborhood and came back for the ceremony. It was a good day in the clerks office so we got through in no time and then were off to explore New York. Their only request was some cool street art and the Brooklyn Bridge. Done and done. We hopped on the subway (the station by City Hall is especially nice for photos) and headed off to the Lower East Side first, a great area to explore for street art. I had scouted out a new #lovewall mural earlier in the week, so we made sure to stop there and then there happened to be a cupcake shop across the street. Cupcake breakfast stop? Of course.
After getting our fill of sweets we jumped in a cab and made our way to the Brooklyn Bridge. We strolled along the bridge and then made our down through DUMBO to Brooklyn Bridge Park, always a wonderful spot for photos.
