The last installment of Australia trip photos, I possibly saved the best for last. As I mentioned in my previous Aussie posts, for some unknown reason Australia had just never been on my radar for places I wanted to go.Who knows why. All I know now is that I was sorely mistaken. I landed in Sydney and right away took to this fantastic city. I don’t think I ever realized, until my dear travel buddy Lindsay made sure my feed was full of photos, how dramatic and stunning Australian beaches and coastline are, and Sydney is chock full of them.
Although the weather was a bit off and on during my days here, I still got to soak up some sun and wander a few of the tons of gorgeous coastal walks around town. The Bondi-Coogee one being one of my favorites, though I also enjoyed the views from Watson’s Bay and Manly beach. And you guys? There are pools, right in the ocean. I couldn’t get over how amazing a concept this was. Next time I am in town, there will be loads more swimming in these. I only got in the one in Manly, as it was chilly on my trip to Bondi.
The last night I was in town I stayed in a hostel in the Rocks, the older part of town right on the harbor. For $35 night with that view right outside my door? Win. Add to that, as I was eating dinner in the kitchen I suddenly heard fireworks and rushed up to the roof deck with my camera. Fireworks over the opera house? You can’t beat it. It was amazing end to a fantastic trip through a city I truly enjoyed.
