Darren and Stephen were my first couple to arrive from Portugal for their elopement in NYC! While they originally hail from the UK, these two handsome grooms currently reside in warm southern Portugal, and while their day was anything but tropical, we made it through the cold snap and got some some great shots.
I always get excited when couples are willing to venture out at sunrise, one of my most favorite times of day for photos, and Stephen and Darren were game. We had the whole Brooklyn Bridge Park nearly to ourselves and it was wonderful for their private elopement. Judie performed a lovely ceremony as always, and then we were off on a photo adventure. We wandered all through Brooklyn Bridge Park, enjoying some of the public art exhibits, and then ducked into a little coffee shop to warm up a bit. From their we made our way down through DUMBO to Vinegar Hill and then back up to the Brooklyn Bridge where I left them to head off for brunch.
