I had such a great time working with Mary Beth and Chris! These guys were so much fun and so laid back they made my job easy! Also, they make a pretty handsome couple don’t you think? You may remember them from their Gantry Park Engagement photos, and we managed to also work in some skyline views for their Brooklyn wedding photos which was awesome.
The whole week before this wedding I was nervously eyeing the forecast as things weren’t looking so hot. However, as I tell all my couples, do NOT stress about the weather forecast. A. It’s always wrong and B. At the end of the day you’ll be married, as this is the most important part. We’ll make photos work where ever we need to go! So, I took my own advice and waited to see what Mother Nature would bring.
The day of it was overcast, chilly and a bit drizzly in the morning, but come wedding time things stayed dry and clouds I am more then happy to work with! I met up with Mary Beth and Chris at the McCarren Hotel in Williamsburg for the getting ready portion to start the day. Lots of gorgeous natural light through the windows was abound and I was a happy camper. Afterwards we actually ended up doing their first look by the pool which was great fun with colorful backdrops.
From there I took them out on a tour of Williamsburg, one of my favorite Brooklyn neighborhoods for wedding photography. We strolled the waterfront at Bushwick Inlet Park, and then made our way through the streets up to their venue, Juliette. If you’re looking for a rooftop wedding venue in Brooklyn, Juliette is a great option! Though it was a bit windy on this particular day, it was great for their ceremony and cocktails. After they got hitched, an amazing dance party went down and loads of merriment was had by all!
