I had such a wonderful time with Tiffany and Colin! They arrived from Canada for their NYC elopement and were both sweet as can be. I met up with them at their hotel in Washington Square early on a Monday morning and then we headed out for photos from there. First stop was the Washington Mews, a beautiful European like street right by NYU. After a few cobblestone photos we headed up to Central Park for their ceremony with Judie officiating.
As Tiffany’s father is a huge Beatles fan and they’re both big music lovers themselves, they decided on the Imagine Memorial in Strawberry Fields for their elopement ceremony location. I had never shot a ceremony here as it’s always packed to the brim with tourists. However, as with most popular spots in the city, if you can hit them early enough, especially on a random Monday morning, sometimes it works out! We had the place to ourselves with just one lone guitarist who offered Tiffany and Colin their choice of wedding accompaniment.
After they tied the knot, we headed for a loop around the park, and then made our way down to the Highline and West Village to finish up a great morning of photo taking. These guys were so laid back and fun, they were a joy to work with! Tiffany and Colin, I can’t thank you enough for inviting me along. Congratulations to you both!
