Jenny and Claudia were married the day after the Supreme Court passed marriage equality nation wide. What a fantastic weekend to celebrate, and these girls had an fantastic party. Science nerdery plus zoo animals plus two amazing ladies? Sold. I started the day with them at their hotel getting ready and then we headed out for their first look at the zoo. We got to wander through some of the exhibits for photos, it’s not often I get to coordinate photos with a grizzly bear and a zoologist bride! So awesome. We had a great time with the animals and then they were off to exchange vows with their closest family and friends as witnesses.
After the ceremony, their reception was also held at the zoo and I loved the science theme! I started off as a pre-med in undergrad, and I never thought I’d see chemistry books again as a wedding photographer. This wedding proved me wrong and it was perfect. Periodic table of guests and test tubes filled with rainbow nerd candy for the win! 🙂

It’s pretty rare that I get this huge of a wedding part nowadays, but I had so much fun with these ladies! Aren’t they a beautiful bunch?
