I first met Krina and Prat nearly a year ago for their elopement in Central Park’s Shakespeare’s Garden. I had such a great time with them and mentioned that I would LOVE to shoot a full Indian wedding someday, should I ever get the chance. Well, fast forward to this summer, and I got the opportunity to hang out with these guys again as they made things officially official for their family and friends over in New Jersey. It was a fantastic day filled with amazing colors, music and dance.
Intricate mendhi on both her hands and feet, gorgeous. As per tradition, the groom is hidden somewhere in the pattern.
I couldn’t get over how incredible Krina looked, isn’t she the most gorgeous bride ever?
I love this moment with Krina and her father.
After getting ready it was off the ceremony. Krina and Prat were kind enough to give me a rundown of the day so I’d have some idea what I’d be photographing as this was the first Indian ceremony I’ve been a part of. The first part of the day was the baraat, Prat’s procession into the wedding, full of music, dancing and so much color! That’s Prat’s mom above to the right, she was so much fun and quite the dancer!
On to the formal ceremony, their first reveal!
The reaction to the toasts may in fact be some of my favorite images of the night. To say we saw some hilarious photos and videos would be an understatement. 🙂 I believe the macarena played a large part…
Krina also put on a dance as a surprise for Prat. This girl is SO talented!
Krina and Prat, thank you SO so much for having me! It has been such a pleasure getting to know you both, I had a fabulous time.
Best wishes and congratulations!
