Kirsten and Kim are my second set of brides from Texas! While they currently live in the south, these two ladies used to live in NYC and knew this was where they wanted to exchange wedding vows. Despite the chilly air, we had time before the rain for a quick walk to the NY Public Library and back, and then scurried inside to finish portraits in Grand Central. I had a great time showing them around and watching their reaction to trying out the whispering gallery.
While the original thought was to get hitched in Central Park, the snow/sleet/rain/cold changed up the plan and forced things indoors. Kirsten and Kim never let the changes in plan ruin their day, and as you can see were just so incredibly happy to be together! Kirsten had actually called ahead to the Michael Jordan restaurant and requested the corner table overlooking the main area of Grand Central. So when we arrived, we just scooted the table out of the way, and presto, beautiful impromtu ceremony venue! Extra special thanks to the restaurant staff for being so accommodating!
Their ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, officiated by a dear friend of theirs. They took a moment to share private vows with each other, and then their other friend shared a song to conclude. Thank you so much Kirsten and Kim, for having me be a part of your day! A wonderful time was had by all!
Cheers and Congratulations to Kirsten and Kim! 🙂
