Kelly and Ian were my last wedding of the season in Vermont, a few weeks before I moved back to NYC. (Side note: Vermont couples, I’m still willing and happy to head back north! ) I could not have asked for a better send off. Kelly and Ian were wonderful: super fun and laid back, and happy to tromp all over the farm to make loads of gorgeous photos! This wedding had all the good stuff: fresh flowers, photos playing in the tomato plants, lawn games for cocktail hour, an ice cream cake (my personal favorite), a moonrise at sunset, and for their ceremony they wrote their own vows and were married by their brothers putting an extra special personal touch on the day.
Their venue is one of my new favorites the West Monitor Barn in Richmond, VT. As giving back to the community has always been a part of my business, working with venues that promote the same ideals is always a treat.
From their website: “All proceeds from renting the West Monitor Barn go towards funding Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) programs, which employ over 300 young people to work on high-priority conservation and education projects across the state of Vermont each year.” How great is that?
Kelly and Ian, thank you so very much for having me, you guys were fantastic.
Best wishes to you both! Congratulations!
