Jean Ann & Eric | Brooklyn Wedding Photographer | Vander Ende–Onderdonk House

You guys, this wedding? I loved every minute of it. When I first met with Jean Ann and Eric and they told me about the venue they found in Bushwick, I was skeptical. An adorable little farmhouse with a rolling backyard? For real? I lived in this part of town when I first moved to NYC and couldn’t imagine a space like this existed. But low and behold these guys hit the jackpot. Beautiful farmhouse charm. Green backyard. And surrounding neighborhood with amazing character for photos?

Perfection.

Add in an adorable couple that can’t stop smiling and laughing, a group of friends who can bring the dance party, delicious food, and a beautiful day and you’ve got one awesome celebration!

Jean Ann looked gorgeous, and all her vintage details were beautiful. I loved the birdcage veil!

First looks = awesome.

After their first look, we hit the surrounding streets of Bushwick for portraits. Their friends made sure everyone knew the way to the ceremony from the subway with tons of sidewalk chalk! 🙂

I would just like to say that this area of Brooklyn ROCKS for photos! No offense Central Park, but I’ll take bright colors, amazing street art, and some cool old warehouse buildings any day!

We were primarily in the area around the Bushwick Collective, an outdoor gallery of sorts for fantastic street art. Super cool.

Can you get any cuter then these two?

We also stopped for cocktails, because why not?

I loved her bouquet!

Hurray for COLORS! 🙂

After portraits, we walked back to the house for their ceremony, which was held in the backyard of the VanderEnde house. I still can’t believe this place exists in the middle of a super urban industrial neighborhood.

They each wrote their own heartfelt vows.

Their reception was one of the best ever! You can NOT go wrong with taco trucks, guacamole, ice cream sandwiches, and oh yes, a second line band! Jean Ann went to undergrad at Tulane, and brought a little of New Orleans up to Brooklyn. This was my second wedding with a brass band, and they are hands down my favorite. These guys and their guests brought the dancing skills!

Seriously. Awesome-sauce.

SO much fun!

If this isn’t happiness. I don’t know what is.

Jean Ann and Eric, thank you for being amazing and so much fun! I wish you all the best, congratulations!
