Brittany & Elijah | NYC Wedding Photographer | Housing Works Bookstore

What a way to kick off 2013! You may remember Brittany and Elijah from their super fun engagement photos at the Natural History Museum. I have been looking forward to their wedding for forever, and had a fantastic time! 🙂

The wedding was at the Housing Works Bookstore and Cafe, one of the few times you can have not only a great wedding venue, but one that gives back to the community with a wonderful mission as well. I’m so excited to be shooting  a number of weddings here this wedding season!

Not only are Brittany and Elijah two amazing individuals, but their friends can DANCE. I loved every minute of this awesome-ness.

A super high five shout out also goes out to Lindsay for rocking it out as my second shooter! 🙂

Check out her beautiful bouquet of vintage brooches… Isn’t it gorgeous?

Meanwhile, Lindsay hung out with Elijah and his team at their hotel.

After these guys were ready, we cabbed it over to Housing Works and set up a first look on the streets of Soho. I love when a couple decides to do a first look, and these photos are some of my favorite first look moments ever. 🙂

From there we wandered around the block to get some fun portraits, I love this part of town!

You kids are too cute. 🙂

After portraits, Elijah and Brittany had their Ketubah signing and the badeken in the basement of the bookstore while the rest of the guests arrived.

Their ceremony was beautiful, I loved their vows and how much they included friends and family. I also just love the setting of this bookstore for a wedding the lights and guests on the surrounding balcony make for a really cool atmosphere.

Hurrah! And then it was time to PARTY!

Brittany and Elijah also had a shtick, a tradition I always look forward to! This one was full of loads of entertainment, but perhaps my favorite was a rendition of The Little Mermaid’s Kiss the Girl, complete with sing along cue cards!  These guys were hilarious!

And then we HORA!!

DANCE PARTY! As a photographer (and dance loving girl myself 😉 ), I fully appreciate weddings where people can rock a dance floor, and these guys did not disappoint! Love all of these!

Brittany and Elijah, thank you SO SO much for having me be a part of your day! I had an incredible time with you both and wish you loads of happiness for many years to come!

Cheers and congratulations!!
